Core Faculty

Marlene M. Maheu, Ph.D. is the Founder of the TeleMental Health Institute, Inc. She is the originator of the Online Clinical Practice Model (OCPM) for ethical telemental health and online counseling; a licensed psychologist and has been a psychotherapist since 1982.

Joseph P. McMenamin, MD JD is a physician-turned-lawyer who assists telehealth practitioners to recognize and diminish legal risks.

Myron Pulier, M.D. has been a Board Certified psychiatrist since the early 1970s. He is the co-founder of the TeleMental Health Institute, Inc.

Graduate Program Faculty

Kenneth Drude, Ph.D. has a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Illinois. His telemental health interests include the ethics, standards and guidelines of telemental health practice, policy and regulation of telemental health practice, and interprofessional relations.

Guest Faculty

Joe Bavonese, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist, and Director of the Relationship Institute with three offices in southeastern Michigan. Joe is also the Co-Director of Uncommon Practices, which helps private practitioners create their ideal practice through consultation, webinars and live workshops.Pamela Forducey, Ph.D., ABPP is a licensed psychologist at Integris Health, Oklahoma.

Keely Kolmes, Psy.D. is a San Francisco-based Psychologist. She is on the CPA Ethics Committee and is most known for her internationally cited Social Media Policy, her post-treatment client satisfaction survey (Getting Better), and for her nationwide CE courses on Digital and Social Media ethics.

Timothy Lacy, MD served as the Air Force Chief of Telemedicine, Imaging, and Cybermedicine for the USAF Surgeon General from 2005-2010.

Mindy Mueller, Psy.D. received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch New England Graduate School, her Master’s in Counseling Psychology at Boston College, and her Master’s in Child and Family Development at Syracuse University.

Christa M. Natoli is the Director for the Center for Telehealth & e-Health Law. She will address multi-disciplinary licensing issues.

Eve-Lynn Nelson, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who served as co-chair for the writing of the American Telemedicine Association’s Telehealth Guidelines.

Les Posen is an Australian Psychologist, anxiety management specialist and Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society.

Dawn Sampson, LCSW received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare from California State University, Long Beach, her Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California, and she is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in California (lic. # LCS23139).

Jill Mestel Squyres, Ph.D. received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern California in 1987.  She is a licensed psychologist in Texas and Colorado and has been in private practice since 2002.

René Y. Quashie, JD is a legal and regulatory attorney for the Center for Telehealth & e-Health Law. He will discuss reimbursement issues.

Carolyn Turvey, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Her specialty areas are mood disorders and neuropsychology.

Lisette Wright, M.A., specializes in health information technology initiatives including coding, CMS ICD-10/DSM-5 documentation guidelines the health and human service industry.

Shawna Wright, Ph.D., LP is a licensed psychologist in Kansas and Nebraska.  Her clinical training focused on child and family treatment, and she has a background in community mental health.  She currently works in private practice as a telepsychologist.

Michael Young, JD is an Internet attorney who helps professionals grow lawsuit-free companies online.

Our Institute & Continuing Education

We are a Wyoming-based Institute with a 100% online facility devoted exclusively to telemental health training of professionals. We also offer consultation and in-person. live training in addition to our online services. We are sponsored by two groups to offer courses that apply toward the following:

Continuing Education (CEs)

Alliant International University (AIU) is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. AIU maintains responsibility for the program and its content. AIU is approved by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences to provide continuing education for MFTs and LCSWs (provider # PCE234). AIU is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing to provide continuing education for Nurses (provider # CEP11235).

Continuing Medication Education (CME)

Accreditation Statement: These activities have been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of PeerPoint Medical Education Institute and TeleMental Health Institute, Inc.
