Alabama Counselor/Therapist CE Requirements
How many CEs does Alabama require?
- 1. LPCs are required 40 hours every two years, 10 of which may be completed by self-contained.
- 2. ALCs are required 10 hours each year, 2.5 of which may be completed by self-contained.
- 3. MFTs are required 40 hours every two years, 20 of which may be completed by distance learning.
- 4. MFTAs are required 20 hours every two years, 15 of which may be completed by distance learning.
How many Ethics & Law CEs does Alabama require?
- LPC – 6 Hours every 2 years.
- MFTA – 3 Hours every 2 years.
Other CE Requirements
- For MFT – a minimum of 6 hours must be in diagnosis and treatment every two years.
- For MFTA – a minimum of 3 hours must be in diagnosis and treatment every two years.
