Legal and Regulatory Telehealth Changes Impacting Reimbursement & Practice Guidelines

Telehealth Policy

US states are busily working on advancing telehealth policy in an effort to implement many sweeping Health Care Reform changes that will empower clinicians to reach more clients/patients with telehealth. Many of these changes are being tracked by the American Telemedicine Association, which has been at the forefront of telehealth policy change since its inception in 1994.  Their public website recently updated a listing of policy changes having to do with numerous legislative and regulatory changes. 

US states with recent updates include:

  • Indiana
  • Maryland
  • New Jersey
  • Massachusetts
  • Indiana
  • Illinois
  • Oklahoma
  • Florida
  • Alabama
  • California
