Two New Events at ATA 2013: Telemedicine Venture Fair & State Policy Summit

Events at ATA 2013The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) Annual Meeting is a one-stop-shop for everything you need to know about telemedicine and mHealth. With over 450 peer-reviewed presentations, certificate courses and the world’s largest telemedicine exhibit hall, ATA keeps you up-to-date with rapidly changing practices, applications, business models and technologies.

In 2013, ATA added two new events to the Annual Meeting, Telemedicine Venture Fair and State Policy Summit, providing new insight into venture capital opportunities and state telehealth policies. Register soon for these special events, as space is limited!

Telemedicine Venture Fair

Sunday, May 5, 8:30am – 12:00pm Registration: $250

ATA is offering a new, half-day event, connecting investors and entrepreneurs in the telehealth space. This session begins with an educational panel of experts from the investment community, to share words of advice and experiences on strategic partnerships, venture financing and the state of the telehealth market. It continues with, a series of presentations from some of the most exciting emerging companies in the industry (by invitation only.) The session will close with a collaborative networking forum for the investment community and emerging telehealth firms. Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of important connections and partnerships between business community and investor, as we learn about the keys to successful financing and strategic ventures from those who know how it is done.

State Policy Summit

Wednesday, May 8, 8:30am – 12:00pm Registration: $75

ATA is hosting a special half-day policy summit, focusing on state-based telehealth policies. This summit will bring state leaders and other stakeholders together to share and learn about best practices for using telehealth to improve health care delivery and costs. With states increasingly engaged in shaping telehealth policy, now is the right time to focus on state experiences and action regarding, telehealth coverage, reimbursement, standards, broadband services, health information exchange and health technology.
