telemedicineVirginia Legislature Passes Bill Requiring Reimbursement for Telemedicine By a unanimous vote, the Virginia State Legislature approved SB 675 on March 17, 2010. It mandates that health insurers pay for telemedicine services. Governor McDonnell is expected to sign the bill into law.

January 2, 2013 update: Fifteen other states have now adopted mandates for the coverage of telemedicine services. A full listing of the mandated reimbursement states will be kept on our website at this address.
