TBHI Charitable Contributions to the Telehealth Community
Since early February of 2020, the Telebehavioral Health Institute (TBHI) has donated more than $600k of professional training at no cost or low-cost through a California 501(3)c organization, the Telehealth Institute (TI). This non-profit was created in 2013 and exists to offer a variety of telehealth support services to the Telebehavioral Health Institute.
Since the declaration of the COVID-19 national emergency, TBHI’s donation has been widely disseminated through social media and its website, newsletter and many other channels to announce:
- Up to 50% off discount for all professional training sitewide for 12 weeks. Since then fees are being reinstated slowly to assist those professionals whop are still in serious need.
- A FREE COVID-19 webinar that summarizes COVID-related legal and reimbursement issues as well as offers highlights of general telehealth best practices. This program has been available with a discounted CME or CE credit hour for those professionals who need continuing education for requirements related to licensure renewal.
- A live, interactive Telehealth Clinical Best Practices workshop was immediately developed to address the needs of behavioral professionals to quickly learn how to prevent and manage complex clinical challenges through telehealth interventions. This course is an advanced course, designed to augment TBHI’s currently available training.
To date, more than 5,000 professionals have benefited from the TBHI & TI response to COVID-19.
